The Reconnect & Realign Workshop for OTs:

4 Keys to Reignite Your Passion and Purpose, Even if You Feel Like Throwing in the Towel

For occupational therapists who love and believe the profession but have lost that confidence, passion and energy for the work.

When: July 16th 11am - 12:30pm ACST

Do these thoughts sound familiar?

“Am I even doing OT?”

“No one understands what I do, and sometimes, I don’t either”

“I was once so passionate about my work but now I just want to give up”

“I wish I felt like a ‘proper’ OT”

If these resonate then you are not alone. But does that make it okay? No!

As OTs, we entered into this profession to make a difference in people’s lives. But the complexity and breadth of our work can make it easy to lose sight of what truly matters. We find ourselves putting out fires, just doing what is asked of us, chasing professional development to feel more expert, all of which leads to feeling disconnected from the heart of OT.

But what if the solution isn’t more knowledge or tools, but rather a return to clarity, connection and a strengthened foundation?

Introducing The Reconnect and Realign Workshop is not just another webinar or professional development course. It’s a 90 minute live virtual experience, that will guide you back to the very foundations of your work as an OT, reigniting that spark that once burned so brightly. At the end of our time together, you will leave feeling re-energised and reconnected to your work as an OT.

The ONE thing you may not have considered yet…

As occupational therapists, we see the world through a unique lens. Our perspective on health, wellness and disability often differs from the dominant culture we find ourselves immersed in. And when we enter this culture after the university it can be really difficult to stay connected to the core values and principles that are most important to us as OTs.

Over time, this disconnected can take a toll on our energy, passion, and sense of purpose. We may reach a point where we feel like we’re running on empty, unable to give our clients the care and support they deserve. And when this happens, it hurts. It hurts because we care deeply about the work we do and the people we serve.

In these moments, it’s easy to place the blame elsewhere – on the system, on our colleagues, on the lack of resources. And while these factors certainly contribute to our struggles, there are things within our power to change.

"The Becoming Collective has supported me in developing a better sense of my service, the services I provide and what I want it to become, as well as personal values and priorities that are intertwined with my work role. It's not so much about learning the skills, but how we show up as OT's and can maintain a spark for what we do."
Molly

But what if we’ve been focusing on the wrong solutions? What if the answer isn’t simply acquiring more knowledge, expertise, or tools?

What if, instead, what we really need is clarity – a deeper understanding of our unique role and the impact we can make?

What if, rather than chasing external validation, we need to reconnect with our own sense of purpose and the values that drew us to occupational therapy in the first place?

What if, instead of adding more to our already full plates, we need to strengthen the very foundation upon which our work is built?

The Reconnect & Align Workshop leans on our own occupational therapy concepts and models to support ourselves to get re-inspired. It is designed to strengthen your identity so that you can move forwards with confidence and clarity.

That’s what I’d like to share with you.

During this 90 minute workshop, we will dive into our Success Map and support you to create a strong foundation so that you can step more confidently into your work as an OT.

What you will leave with…
  • A powerful statement that will guide you through your journey,
  • A guide map that will have you provide you with an all important birds eye view of the most important things
  • A prioritised list of the next steps that you can take in your OT journey
  • A powerful sense of feeling seen, heard, valued and understood
What you’ll receive…
  1. A 90 minute workshop to help you identify, clarify and map out the foundations that will support you to love and feel confident in your work again.

Frequently Asked Questions

About the Host

Hi, I'm Bradley Williams, the founder and host of The Becoming Collective. I have been an occupational therapist for over 12 years and have felt all the fears, pangs of doubt and desires to chase the magic fix but to no really impactful avail. The Becoming Collective and all its offerings were created after taking a look at our profession with an occupational therapy perspective and noticing that we needed space, support and opportunity to stay connected with our identity and foundations in order to keep doing the work that we love with passion and meaning.

Who is this program for?

This program is for OTs that are seeking a reset or space to stop, reflect and re-orientate before they completely. It is about returning to what is important but often placed in the non-urgent bucket for sometimes years. It is for those who believe in the profession and take action before they are left with no choice other than to leave it.

I’m feeling great about my work right now, is this for me?

For sure! You’ve been drawn to this page and made it this far down for some reason. You are looking for something. We know that we change (aka become) all the time as humans and revisiting this stuff regularly is important to keep checking in and adjusting as we journey.

What if I can’t attend the live workshop?

That’s no problem! The instructional training will be recorded so you can go back to at any time and watch the replay in your own time.

"If you are seeking a deeper connection to occupational therapy, and you want to connect to other deep thinking souls, this is the place to be! It is safe space for connecting with others and exploring our ideas about our profession"
